Offering $10 worth of Bitcoin for a simple project
I'm in the process of making a neoclassical-inspired 3D print, and I was looking to add a copy of a relief to the outside of the model. I'm making this model in Tinkercad, and Tinkercad really only plays well with solid meshes. I was able to get a friend to take a few pictures of the relief in Scotland, and I was even able to turn these photos into a 3D mesh surface. However, even after downloading FreeCAD and Meshlab and following multiple tutorials, I'm unable to make a version that can be imported into Tinkercad well--all my attempts result in a mesh that looks like Swiss cheese when imported. I think this is because I haven't been successful in making a airtight solid mesh. After trying for so long to get it to work, I've decided it's not worth my time in this project to learn something that others can do so easily (at least, for now). Given that, I'd like to offer $10 worth of Bitcoin to whoever can take these images and turn it into a .stl that:
is importable into Tinkercad without spazzing out--most downloadable .stl files have been fine, so I know that this isn't a problem with Tinkercad
has a flat surface as the bottom and the relief profile surface as the top
does not use on any texture or color--I'm going to be 3D printing this in a single color
preferably, I would like to only have the white oval relief surface--the black frame and everything else are unimportant
has straight side walls that extend at least 4mm from the bottom to the lowest points on the relief. The lowest points on the relief surface should be at least 4 mm above the bottom flat surface.
(I.e., if you consider the flat bottom surface the floor of the "house" and the relief surface as the "roof", I'd like the "walls" to be at least 4 mm tall.)
With literally 0 knowledge, I've gotten to the point where I have an acceptable 3D mesh surface, so I'm guessing this is basically a walk in the park for anyone you knows how to turn such a surface into the side of a solid object I know that the images aren't great, but the printer doesn't have great resolution anyway, so the quality of the relief surface is not as important to me as it probably is for most people. As long as its equal to or greater than what I can get by myself with my almost complete lack of knowledge, it'll be fine. Proof that I at least have Bitcoin. I d/led trials of inkscape, 3ds max and another but they are way beyond my abilities. I made 2 coins in tinkercad, both 21mm in size but even uploading just one of them to ponoko it says it's far to big. Im at a loss as to what Im doing. I dont know if this is the right place but Id thought I'd ask. So I'd like to request 3 coins to be made. Im looking for them to be the size of a nickel, about 21mm in diameter and about 2mm high, using the 3 images in the imgur album. Id also like to have the images extrude out of the coin, though not sure what a proper height would be for them, maybe a .5mm? I understand they will be small and many of the details wont show up properly. I also don't need a lip like how one is shown in the image album. Im just looking to get these printed at ponoko or some other similar site in their 3d printed metal. I don't know what it would cost to have these printed out, it doesn't give you a cost til you upload a file and I can't obviously can't figure out how to make one. If I read it correctly, I know they give you a 7x7" area to print from. Meaning I can print as many coins that will fit within that area. I also don't know how much it would cost me to have someone create the coins for me either. I have $20 in bitcoin I could pay someone with just not sure that's enough. Anyway if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it, or at least point me to someone who could. Thanks for your time.
